How to resolve the error @X3.TRT/GLOBB1$adx (572) Error 8: Index Incorrect DEPSTA(-1) in fixed asset depreciation calculation screen
When we change the depreciation method from SL (month-wise) to TL (Turkish straight line, day-wise) for assets where methods were changed, an error occurs when we open the plan simulation and run the depreciation calculation.
You can run Current DEPREC calculation. This created the DEPREC records for the current period and can potentially resolve the error.
Navigate to Fixed Assets > Utilities > Current DEPREC creation.
→Run in Simulation mode:
- Use the Detailed log file option to check if the error assets are being processed correctly.
→Run without Simulation:
- If everything is in order, proceed to run the process without Simulation mode to create the DEPREC records.
→Generate Accounting Entries (DEPREC):
- After running Current DEPREC creation, proceed to generate the accounting entries without any errors, enabling you to close the period successfully.
♦ Important Note: Ensure that the financial period and the asset are in sync. Otherwise, the system will calculate depreciation for all open financial periods and generate a consolidated entry in the currently open financial period.
